Why I'm learning responsibility at a dog farm To be honest, at first I just wanted to give it all...
The dog rescue station on Mallorca
Ok, the journey can begin
It's a daring undertaking to simply pull down all your tents and travel the world - no home, no safe haven, without knowing what to expect. I've now booked my flight, the ticket to Mallorca is secure and I'll be working at a dog rescue station. Who would have thought that? Yes, it's true, I love dogs, I really do, but I've never had one before.
Stay positive
I'm definitely super excited, very confident and full of anticipation that it will be a good time. I'm looking forward to this nomadic adventure. Let's see what's in store for me. I don't have much with me and it's still too much - the rucksack is super heavy and getting in is problematic. But so far I've always managed somehow.
About hygiene futzies and dog poop
I have no experience of this, I've never fed a dog or washed their fur, let alone cleaned up the mess they produce. To be honest, it makes me feel really sick. Just the thought of it... uuurgh! So, completely inexperienced, I go to a dog rescue center where dozens of dogs are waiting for me. Me, a hygiene futzie and no idea what's coming. I hope I can handle it well and that the adventure won't be a flop - or rather, a vomiting fit.
